The hydrogen economy is moving into its execution phase. Finland, Sweden, and Norway each play an important role in shaping this transition. By working together, the Nordics create a strong platform for hydrogen production, infrastructure, and industrial demand.

Nordic Hydrogen Week brings Finland, Sweden and Norway together around concrete questions of infrastructure, value chains and investment. Cooperation is not an add-on – it shapes the economics of hydrogen in the Nordics.

The Billion-Euro Hydrogen Economy Is Taking Shape

In February 2026, attention will turn to Oulu as Nordic Hydrogen Week brings together business leaders, investors, and decision-makers to assess the next decisions and investment pathways in the hydrogen economy. Now held for the fourth time, the event has secured its position as one of the most important meeting places for international hydrogen industry frontrunners.

The international event builds a shared hydrogen offering for Northern Europe and promotes investment opportunities in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

“Nordic cooperation is extremely important for fully leveraging all opportunities and achieving critical mass; on a global scale, the Nordics already constitute an attractive region even for major players,” says Janne Hietaniemi, Key Account Manager at BusinessOulu.
