Arrival in Oulu
Travel by train
Oulu is well connected by rail, with frequent Pendolino and InterCity services from Helsinki and Tampere, as well as a daily overnight train from both Helsinki and Turku. The fastest journey to or from Helsinki takes 5 hours 40 minutes. Oulu is also accessible by train from Stockholm via the Haparanda–Tornio border crossing.
Travel by bus
Travelling by bus is also a convenient option, supported by Finland’s extensive and well-connected nationwide bus network.
Fly to Oulu
Oulu Airport is Finland’s third-busiest airport, with Finnair operating multiple daily flights to and from Helsinki. The journey takes just under an hour, offering fast and convenient connections to the rest of the world.
